A 77-year-old hiker has been rescued by helicopter from the GES after suffering a fall on the summit of Caldera Blanca in the municipality of Tinajo. At the initial moment of assistance, the affected person presented trauma to one leg of moderate severity.
The incident took place at approximately 2:14 p.m. this Sunday, when CECOES received a call requesting medical assistance. The rescue helicopter, the Security and Emergency Consortium, two ambulances (one medicalized and another for basic life support), Local Police, Civil Protection, and Civil Guard were dispatched to the scene.
The GES helicopter rescued the affected woman and transferred her to the fire department's helipad in Arrecife. Subsequently, she was transferred in a basic life support ambulance from the SUC to Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
