The GES helicopter rescued this Monday a hiker of 53 years old, who was injured after suffering a fall in the White Caldera of Tinajo.
Around 1:10 p.m., the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert requesting health assistance for the hiker, immediately activating the necessary emergency resources.
Thus, the helicopter of the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) of the Government of the Canary Islands, a basic life support ambulance of the SUC, firefighters of the Security and Emergency Consortium and troops of the Civil Guard, Local Police and Civil Protection moved to the place.
The GES helicopter rescued the hiker, who was moderately injured, and transferred her to the Lanzarote airport, where an ambulance of the SUC took over her assistance and evacuation to the hospital.
