GES helicopter rescues 70-year-old injured tourist in Femés

The GES helicopter rescued a 70-year-old injured tourist this Thursday on a mountain in Femés, in the municipality of Yaiza, as confirmed by the Emergency Coordination Center (CECOES).

The events occurred around 2:00 PM when 112 received a call reporting that a tourist had fallen and suffered a less serious injury to one of her legs, which prevented her from walking.

After that, the CECOES mobilized emergency services, including the GES helicopter that rescued her, which took her to Lanzarote Airport where a Basic Life Support ambulance transferred her to the José Molina Orosa HospitalLocal police officers and firefighters from the Emergency Consortium also arrived at the scene
