A Ryanair flight that took off from Manchester bound for Tenerife South had to be diverted to the Portuguese city of Faro after chaos on board caused by several passengers on June 10, according to the outlet Daily Mail.
It all began when a British passenger started to mock, sing, and dance down the aisle of the plane, generating laughter, insults, and reproaches from other passengers. Some passengers recorded the scene, one of them tried to trip him and others even threw objects at him. All this while many encouraged him to continue with this bad behavior.
This altercation was recorded and shared on social media by some passengers and has already accumulated thousands of views.
Specifically, two passengers were the cause of the altercation, but a total of twelve participated in it.
For safety reasons and due to the large number of people involved, air traffic controllers gave priority to the plane to land and shorten its route after the crew requested police assistance in advance. The plane managed to land without incident.
After that, the police evicted the disruptive passengers and the flight continued its route to Tenerife. Despite the events, authorities have not reported whether there were any arrests.
