A minor of five years is in serious condition after suffering a drowning in a swimming pool of a hotel in Puerto del Carmen, according to the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center.
The incident took place around 6:12 PM this Friday when CECOES was alerted that a minor had been rescued from the pool with signs of drowning. Two ambulances, one medicalized and one basic life support, from the SUC, the Guardia Civil, and the Local Police have been dispatched to the hotel establishment.
Health personnel have evaluated and assisted the minor and, after stabilizing him, he has been transferred in serious condition by medicalized ambulance to the Molina Orosa hospital.
For their part, the police services have drawn up the corresponding proceedings.
