The Main Post of Tías arrested on February 17 five people of ages between 32 and 44 years old, with multiple criminal records for committing various crimes, including robbery with force, robbery with violence and intimidation, and also having one of them a judicial order for search and imprisonment, managing to steal a cash register valued at about 1,500 euros and cash 915 euros, being recovered.
Collaboration with the Local Police of Tías in the face of the increase in crimes in Puerto del Carmen
The Civil Guard on the night of February 17, 2023 in union and close collaboration with the agents of the Headquarters of the Local Police of Tías, formed a security device in which they used official vehicles for this purpose. A device created to respond to the increase in criminal acts that occurred on the same night of the operation during the hours of darkness in the tourist area of Puerto del Carmen-Tías, culminating in an important result, and with the arrest of a total of five people.
Likewise, the facts attributed to three of them men took place during the early morning of February 17 in which, using a small utility vehicle, they perpetrated a total of three robberies with force that morning, until they were arrested, in different places in the tourist area of Puerto del Carmen. The arrested, helped by levers, managed to break the locks to access the interior of the places and steal a cash register valued at approximately 1,500 euros and cash 915 euros in total, being recovered.
That same morning and during the same security device, another two people, a man and a woman, were arrested who were trying to enter the interior of a house, being surprised by the agents who proceeded to arrest them for an alleged crime of robbery with force in an attempted degree, verifying after the arrest that the man also had a judicial order for search and imprisonment.
Finally, the agents once in police custody obtained sufficient evidence to attribute to one of the alleged perpetrators another crime of robbery with violence and intimidation. The complaint was filed by an elderly person who explained that he was attacked on the morning of January 19, at the door of his house, and the aggressor entered the house stealing valuables such as a laptop valued at 600 euros, a watch valued at 400 euros and a value of the total stolen close to 1,600 euros.
The rapid intervention of all the components in the operation was decisive to discover the alleged criminals while they were committing their misdeeds.
The appropriate diligences were carried out and delivered together with the detainees to the Guard Court of Arrecife, recovering everything stolen that morning
