The CECOES alerted the Las Palmas rescue center in the early hours of this Friday, specifically at 03.48 hours, that the fishing vessel Ikusieder had run aground in the port of La Tiñosa, in Puerto del Carmen.
The vessel had four people on board, but all the passengers were already ashore, except for one of them who remained on board. All were unharmed.
When the two vessels Salvamar al Nair and Guardamar Polimnia, mobilized by Maritime Rescue, arrived, they found the ship half-sunken with the bow on the breakwater and the stern submerged.
Apparently, and according to Maritime Rescue, the owner's idea is to use a crane to refloat the vessel.
