This Monday, July 28, at 8:22 a.m., an incident occurred on Mosta Street, in the Altavista neighborhood of Arrecife, when several glass plates fell on the sidewalk and the road, creating a risk for pedestrians and drivers.
The Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium was initially alerted by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) through the Senda application and later by telephone. Upon arrival at the scene, together with the Local Police of Arrecife, they found the street cut off due to the presence of glass fragments that completely invaded the public road.
The firefighters, in collaboration with the employees of the company responsible for the material, proceeded to the safe removal of the glass, which allowed the traffic to be reopened after securing the area. Fortunately, there was no personal injury.
