Firefighters from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium have extinguished the flames of a burning vehicle on the road from Guatiza to Los Ancones. The incident took place at 6:20 a.m. this Wednesday.
After being alerted by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES), the firefighters arrived at the scene, where agents of the Local Police of Teguise were already located, securing the area.
Upon arrival, they verified that the vehicle was "completely in flames", so they proceeded to extinguish it using water and foam. Likewise, according to the Security and Emergency Consortium, after the intervention, nothing relevant was found. Thus, they verified that there was no risk of reignition, so we ended the service and returned to the base. Agents of the Civil Guard also attended the scene.
The Local Police of Teguise and the Civil Guard of Lanzarote are working to clarify what happened.
