Firefighters from the Consortium of Security and Emergencies responded on Friday afternoon to a gas leak report at a restaurant located on Avenida El Marinero in the town of Caleta de Famara (Teguise).
Following a report received by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES), they proceeded to the location, where they confirmed a propane gas leak in one of the cylinders of the gas centralization unit located outside the establishment.
Faced with this situation, firefighters proceeded to close the valve of the affected cylinder, ventilated the area, and preemptively closed the rest of the cylinders. Once the intervention was completed, they informed the fire department dispatch and CECOES.
