Fire destroys several containers and a lamppost in Costa Teguise

The fire affected two organic waste containers and a cardboard recycling cage on Las Olas street and required the intervention of firefighters from the Consortium of Security and Emergencies

A fire that broke out early Saturday morning has destroyed several containers and a lamppost on Las Olas street, in Costa TeguiseAccording to the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium, the alert was received at 01:54 hours through the CECOES, reporting a burning dumpster in the area. Firefighters from the central station, with the Bravo 4 crew and intervention level 2, were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed that the fire affected a cage for cardboard recycling, two organic waste containers, and a public lighting lamppost. Approximately 500 liters of water were needed to extinguish the fire.

As a consequence of the incident, the organic waste containers were rendered **completely unusable**. The Local Police also intervened in the service
