Firefighters have extinguished the fire in a transformer of the Costa Sol apartments in Puerto del Carmen, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.
Around 10:28 a.m. this Friday, firefighters were alerted by the CECOES of the fire.
Upon arriving at the scene, they observe a lot of black smoke coming from inside the transformer. Once the supplying company cuts off the electrical network to the transformer, they access the interior and extinguish the fire. Immediately afterwards, they verify that the fire affects the low voltage panel.
After finishing the extinction, they ventilate the place to evacuate the gases from the interior so that the technical personnel can access.
In addition, the Local Police has moved to the place.
