The Emerlan team, ES-11 of the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES), responded this Friday at 09:53 hours to an emergency call coordinated by CECOES 112 and Maritime Rescue. The alert referred to two people in distress outside the cork of Playa Grande.
Upon arrival at the scene, Emerlan personnel, consisting of a skipper and a rescuer, carried out the successful rescue of two people, a 30-year-old male and another approximately 60 years old, both of foreign nationality.
Once on board the rescue boat, the two affected were evacuated safe and sound to the dock of La Tiñosa. We worked in close collaboration with the Local Police of Tías.
