Emerlan carried out three interventions on the island of La Graciosa this Friday to assist three people who needed to be evacuated to receive medical attention, according to the emergency team.
The first activation occurred around 10:00 a.m., when 1-1-2 requested intervention in a private home. At the scene, volunteers assisted a 19-year-old male who was initially transferred to the local health center. Subsequently, due to his evolution, they coordinated his urgent evacuation to Lanzarote together with the medical and nursing team of the health center. In the Port of Órzola, an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) transferred him to the hospital.
After this intervention, around 12:30 p.m., Emerlan went to a rescue on Las Conchas Beach, as a 79-year-old man, of Belgian nationality, had suffered an injury to his right lower limb. After being treated at the scene, they transferred him to the Caleta del Sebo health center for a medical evaluation.
Finally, at 3:40 p.m., the volunteers again carried out another urgent medical evacuation of a 59-year-old male who required hospital care. The evacuation was carried out again together with the medical team of the health center. An ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) was waiting in Órzola to finally take him to the Molina Orosa Hospital.
