The National Geographic Institute (IGN) has reported the detection of an earthquake west of Lanzarote.
The seismic movement took place at 6:45 a.m. this Monday and at a depth of 13 kilometers. In addition, it had a magnitude of 3.2. In this case, the epicenter is in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, over the eastern Canary Islands.
The distance with the coast of Gran Canaria to the north and with the west of Lanzarote prevented the population from feeling this seismic movement, the most important of those that have been detected during the last hours in Canarias.
