This Wednesday, firefighters rescued a woman in her 40s who was trapped in a car about to fall down a three-meter embankment in Caletón Blanco.
The accident occurred at approximately 1:44 p.m. when the driver lost control of the vehicle and went off the road. Two minors were also traveling in the car and were able to exit on their own.
Local Police, Civil Guard, an ambulance, and the Emergency Consortium were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arriving at the scene, the firefighters verified that the car was at risk of falling and proceeded to secure the vehicle to prevent it. Once secured, they rescued the woman who was inside and transferred her to the ambulance.
The healthcare personnel attended to the mother and children and transferred them to Molina Orosa for evaluation.
