A 61-year-old driver residing in Lanzarote is charged with a crime of document forgery

Traffic officers from the Arrecife Local Police are investigating a 61-year-old driver, residing in Lanzarote, for manipulating a disabled person's parking card (PMR), which he used to park in these designated areas.

During traffic duties, officers found the vehicle parked in the area and requested documentation from the driver, at which point they realized that several digits on the card might have been manipulated.

As a result, they administratively sanctioned the driver and removed the vehicle to the impound for parking in a prohibited area. Subsequently, upon identifying the man, they requested documentation, and colleagues confirmed after investigation that it was a manipulated card.

Finally, he was informed that he would be investigated for a crime of document forgery and will be summoned for a speedy trial.
