A motorless boat adrift has activated this Saturday, May 24, an intervention by the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium in waters near Playa de La Francesa, in La Graciosa.

As reported by the Consortium itself, the notice was received at 2:53 p.m., alerting of a boat that was adrift in the area known as the Río, the arm of the sea that separates Lanzarote from La Graciosa. Emergency teams traveled to the scene to check the condition of the crew and provide assistance.

Upon arrival, they verified that the two occupants of the boat were in good condition and showed no signs of injury or required medical attention. The troops then proceeded to secure the boat while coordinating the arrival of another ship that could tow it.

While waiting, the crew managed to start the boat's engine, which allowed them to head on their own to the port of Caleta de Sebo. Once there, the service was terminated without further incidents.
