Two buses from the company Arrecife Bus have suffered a collision at midday this Monday in the roundabout of the Cabildo of Lanzarote. The incident took place after crossing the bridge next to the Cabildo of Lanzarote building towards the roundabout of Rambla Medular.
The accident between the two passenger transport vehicles forced the closure of the two lanes connecting the headquarters of the Cabildo of Lanzarote with the main roundabout accessing the city from the south of the island.
Initially, this incident resulted in no injuries. Firefighters from the Consortium of Security and Emergencies of Lanzarote, who were alerted around 2:30 PM, moved to the scene to collect the debris from the crashed vehicles and clean the road.
The Local Police of Arrecife has moved to the scene and has been in charge of directing traffic.
