The Local Police have sealed off a cannabis club located on La Inés street in Arrecife. According to La Voz, the sealing has been carried out in a joint operation involving agents from the Citizen Security and Intervention Unit (USCI) of the Local Police and the National Police, although nothing has transpired about it so far, so it is unknown if there have been any arrests.
Neither the Local Police nor the National Police have wanted to provide La Voz with information about said operation, stating from both police forces that a press release will be sent shortly informing about it.
It is not the first police operation carried out in a cannabis club in the capital. Back in May 2018, Local Police and National Police intervened in the club 'La Oveja Verde', located on Peñas del Chache street, in an operation that resulted in four arrests for an alleged crime against public health and the seizure of various quantities of hashish and marijuana.
Also, in October of last year, it was reported the arrest of two men for selling drugs in another cannabis association in Arrecife, in which 4,900 grams of marijuana, 97 grams of hashish and 950 euros in cash were seized.
