A man was injured on Wednesday afternoon after the buggy he was driving overturned in a difficult-to-access area in the Las Laderas scattered settlement, near Soo, in the municipality of Teguise.
The incident occurred around 7:00 p.m., when the Emergency Coordinating Center (CECOES) alerted the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium to the accident. According to the information received, the driver was trapped inside the vehicle after the rollover.
Upon arrival, emergency teams verified that the affected individual was already outside the buggy, although he had a significant injury to his arm. Given the complexity of the terrain, firefighters collaborated with paramedics from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) to stabilize the injured man and transfer him in the fire truck to the ambulance, located in a more accessible area.
Subsequently, the injured man was evacuated to the Molina Orosa hospital. Personnel from the Central Fire Station, SUC paramedics, and agents from the Teguise Local Police participated in the operation.
