Two people were injured in a traffic accident involving two cars in Uga, as reported by the Emergency Consortium. The two injured people were transferred by SUC ambulance to the Molina Orosa Hospital.
The accident took place this Friday, October 24, at approximately 9:18 p.m. when the CECOES was alerted. Local Police agents, Civil Guard Traffic officers, a medicalized ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service, and firefighters were dispatched to the scene.
When the emergency services arrived, they found the two occupants of one of the pickup trucks, one of them a minor, outside the vehicle, while in the other car, one of the occupants remained inside.
The doctor from the advanced life support ambulance indicated that the occupants of the car should be evacuated respecting the sagittal axis, so they proceeded to evacuate the driver and passenger by cutting the headrests of both seats. Both people were evacuated to the SUC stretchers, using the trunk as an exit.
In addition, the firefighters removed the car, disconnected the battery, and cleaned the road, neutralizing an oil spill with sepiolite and removing debris from the vehicles.
For their part, the police officers were in charge of regulating traffic and carrying out the corresponding report.
