National Police agents have arrested in Arrecife a 40-year-old man, with no police record, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of attempted homicide.
In the early morning of December 4, the 091 operations room received a notice that a brawl was taking place between several individuals in a street in the capital of Lanzarote.
Upon the arrival of the agents, they were able to observe how a man was being assisted by several witnesses, who had two bleeding wounds on his back, and sanitary assistance was requested. The victim told the agents that moments before he had mediated in a discussion between several individuals and that once he had left the place, one of them pounced on him from behind, and when he broke free he realized that he was bleeding from his back.
The victim was transferred to a nearby hospital to be assisted for the injuries suffered.
With the physical characteristics provided by the victim and several witnesses, a police investigation was initiated that culminated in the identification, location and arrest of the alleged perpetrator of the events, who is accused of a crime of attempted homicide.
The detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
