Arrested for committing seven robberies in bars and supermarkets in Haría and Tías

The arrested man, 34 years old, has numerous police records, according to the Civil Guard.

The Civil Guard of the Main Post of Costa Teguise and Tías arrested on December 13 a 34-year-old person, with numerous records, for seven crimes against property of robbery with force and one of robbery, theft or continued use of a motor vehicle, by accessing various hotel establishments and supermarkets, causing numerous damages and stealing cash of 38,000 euros, in the municipalities of Haría and Tias.

The agents became aware of the events after the complaints filed by the injured parties. During the months of November and December in the towns of Haría and Tías, they suffered a wave of robberies. The alleged perpetrator of the events accessed the establishments by climbing and forcing, causing numerous damages to the access doors of the same, in the furniture, breaking the safes, vending machines of tobacco and stole perishable products and beverages, pending valuation of the damages caused.

He also stole from the establishments he accessed the amount of cash of more than 38,000 euros. In addition, as a result of the wave of robberies, the alleged perpetrator of the events, forced the door of two vehicles to access them and manipulated their starting system to be able to use them, failing to start them.

 Start and development of the investigation

The Civil Guard carried out the appropriate investigation procedures to clarify the criminal acts, such as detailed viewing of existing cameras where the crimes are committed, surveillance where the illicit acts are committed, the appropriate inquiries and investigations to locate the address of the alleged perpetrators and the technical police inspections of the premises, thus being able to collect all the police investigations to identify the perpetrators of the criminal acts.

Therefore, the arduous investigation led to the conclusion that one of the alleged perpetrators of the related events actively participated in all the described criminal offenses, being able to identify him and subsequently arrest him on December 13. The proceedings together with the detainee were placed at the disposal of the Investigating Court number 1 of Arrecife.
