A middle-aged man was arrested last Wednesday, February 26 in Arrieta after assaulting with a knife and threatening to kill a shopkeeper at around one in the afternoon.
The victim "suffered several cuts, received blows to the face that caused him to break his lip and the detainee destroyed part of the store," Evelia García, deputy mayor of Haría, told La Voz.
In addition, the owner of the bazaar, who suffers from hypertension, has had to close the establishment due to the damage caused. It should be noted that the alleged aggressor "already had a restraining order from the victim that ended last November," reveals the deputy mayor.
When he was arrested, the alleged aggressor continued to threaten the victim, telling him that "he would kill him when he got out of prison again."
Agents from the Local Police of Haría, the Civil Guard and an ambulance from the SUC attended the scene, who transferred the injured man to a health center. "Hours later, the victim went to the emergency room of the Valterra Health Center due to his hypertension," he says.
