The Civil Guard of the Las Palmas Command has arrested one person as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of theft with force committed in a commercial establishment in the town of Corralejo, Fuerteventura.
The events occurred during the early morning of August 12, when the Operations Center (COS) received a communication alerting to a possible robbery in a business located on Poseidón street in Corralejo.
A Civil Guard patrol went to the establishment, where they verified that the access door and one of the sides of the premises showed damage consistent with access by breaking the glass. Likewise, the theft of the cash register, which contained around 500 euros, and material damage initially valued at 750 euros were confirmed.
The investigations carried out by the agents allowed access to the security camera images of the establishment, in which a person was observed with their face covered with a mask of the comic character Batman and characteristic clothing, composed, among other items, of black boots, ochre-colored trousers, and a black hooded sweatshirt.
Based on the information obtained and the immediate investigations carried out, the agents located a person whose clothing matched that observed in the images. During the investigation, other indications were obtained that allowed them to be allegedly linked to the events.
Finally, the detainee led the agents to the place where he had hidden the mask used during the robbery, as well as the hammer allegedly used to break the establishment's glass. Likewise, the stolen cash register and 253 euros of the money it contained were recovered.
For these events, the agents proceeded to the arrest of this person, who was placed at the disposal of the Court of Guard of Puerto del Rosario.
