The National Police have arrested this Monday morning a man who has entered the interior of a bank branch in Arrecife in the middle of the night. Apparently, this person managed to force the entrance door of the BBVA bank office on León y Castillo street, in the capital of Lanzarote, at around 6:00 a.m.
Despite having managed to access the interior of the branch, he could not take a large amount of money, as it remains in a more secure area. However, as the National Police has confirmed to La Voz, he did steal just over 100 euros that were in this office, probably from some tables.
Although the person who entered the branch has already been arrested, the bank has declined to make statements to La Voz as this matter is "in court" and they do not want to "hinder the investigation."
