Emerlan personnel rescued an 84-year-old tourist this Tuesday who suffered a fall on Playa del Salao on the island of La Graciosa, according to the NGO.
The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m., when CECOES was alerted. After the warning, Emerlan travels to the scene with a 4×4 Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance. Paramedics assist her on site for a possible hip injury, immobilizing her and taking her to the health vehicle.
Subsequently, the transfer is made to the La Graciosa health center, where the health team administers analgesia and activates the maritime evacuation protocol to Lanzarote.
At the Órzola dock, the exchange takes place with the ambulance team of the Canary Islands Emergency Service, who evacuated her to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
