The Costa Teguise Judicial Police Team arrested an 18-year-old male with no police record on November 8 for robbery with violence and intimidation and illegal detention.

The Civil Guard became aware of the events following a complaint filed on October 28 by the victim at the Main Post of the Civil Guard of San Bartolomé, stating that he had suffered a robbery with intimidation and illegal detention, when the alleged perpetrator entered his hairdressing salon and threatened one of the people in the waiting room, who was the complainant's nephew, with a knife. Therefore, the perpetrator placed plastic handcuffs on his hands behind his back to reduce his mobility, forcing him to enter one of the rooms of the premises where the owner was performing a beauty treatment.

Also, when the owner went to the exit door of her premises and checked what was happening, she realized that someone had entered to rob her, thinking at first that he had left, that after a few minutes the perpetrator came out of the warehouse carrying the owner's bag with the collection of the month, at which point the victim tried to recover it, which she managed after a struggle with the person involved, during which the victim suffered minor injuries with bruising on the arm, lip and contusion on a finger of the hand. Immediately afterwards, the alleged perpetrator left behind a backpack with several personal belongings including a mobile phone.

It should be noted that the perpetrator of the aforementioned crime fled the scene with a wallet, which contained documentation of the owner of the hairdressing salon.

The Civil Guard of the Main Post of San Bartolomé requested the collaboration of the Judicial Police Team of Costa Teguise to carry out the appropriate investigations and inquiries.

Among the effects that the alleged perpetrator abandoned at the scene were a mobile phone and personal effects, being evidence of great importance for the practice of the relevant procedures, thus being able to ascertain the identity of the alleged perpetrator.

Finally, members of the Judicial Police Team of Costa Teguise with the investigations carried out were able to locate and identify the alleged perpetrator of the events, proceeding later to his arrest.

The proceedings instructed for the purpose together with the detainee were placed at the disposal of the Investigating Court of Arrecife
