A woman was injured in the collision of a car against a garbage truck on the general road of San Bartolomé, according to the Emergency Consortium.
The accident took place around 3:58 PM this Friday, February 11, near the Pastelería Lolita. As a consequence of the impact, a traffic light and a lamppost were affected.
After being alerted by the CECOES, agents of the Local Police and the Civil Guard of Traffic, an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Services, and firefighters moved to the location.
The SUC paramedics took out the driver and sole occupant of the car, assisted her and subsequently transferred her to Molina Orosa. The firefighters moved the car off the road, disconnected the traffic light's power and removed the lamppost with the help of the aerial ladder, and cleaned the road of glass fragments and debris from the vehicle from the roadway.
For their part, the police officers were in charge of regulating traffic and drawing up the corresponding report.
