Agents of the Local Police of Arrecife arrested on August 2 a 21-year-old man against whom there was a search, arrest and appearance warrant issued by a police station in Valencia.
The events began when the agents were required by a group of young people who stated that the detainee had tried to approach a minor, harassing her and causing her a state of anxiety. Initially, the young people themselves confronted him "to get him to desist from his attitude and protect" the girl, but he turned towards them, even holding one by the neck, according to the Police.
After what happened, the witnesses provided the agents with his physical description, and he was located on the Puente de las Bolas. The young man did not show any valid identification and was transferred to police facilities to proceed with his complete identification, at which time it was verified that the detainee was subject to a search, arrest and appearance order issued by the Investigation Group of the Central District Police Station of Valencia, for the commission of a crime of robbery with violence and intimidation in the aforementioned city, proceeding therefore to his arrest and making him available to the authorities.
