A worker from the Tourist Centers had to be transferred to a health center last Saturday after suffering an electric shock while handling equipment in the Montañas de Fuego kitchen. This was reported this Monday by the Cabildo, which indicates that the employee is "recovering" and announces that it has already opened an investigation.
"The equipment that caused the accident was immediately removed and is being analyzed by specialized personnel in order to carry out an exhaustive report on the causes of the accident and propose the corrective measures that may be considered necessary," the Corporation said in a statement.
"We will act with total transparency and with all possible rigor to determine what has happened in this case and, thus, prevent it from happening again in the future," said the president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, and the CEO of the Centers for Art, Culture and Tourism, Juan Félix Eugenio. "We are starting a stage in which people matter, the workers, one of the greatest assets of this entity," they both highlighted.
In addition, Corujo and Eugenio wanted to "offer all their support" and "convey their wishes for a speedy and satisfactory recovery" to the worker who suffered this work accident.
