The Civil Guard of the Main Post of San Bartolomé investigated on July 29 a woman with initials A.P. - 38 years old without a police record - as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of simulation of crime, by falsely reporting charges to her bank account worth 130 euros.

The investigations began as a result of the complaint filed by A.P. at police headquarters on July 14, informing the agents of several charges made to her bank account without her consent, according to her.

The agents of the Investigation Area subsequently gathered sufficient police evidence to demonstrate that those charges were made by the same complainant, with a bank card, with the alleged purpose of claiming said amount from the bank, so she was finally investigated for the crime described on July 29, remaining at the disposal of the corresponding Court, on guard duty, of Arrecife.

Penalties for the simulation of crime

From the Benemérita they remind that the simulation of a crime can carry penalties ranging from 6 months to 2 years in prison, or fines ranging from 3 to 24 months, depending on the level of severity of the false crime and false accusations to third parties.

This type of complaint also causes serious damage to the police units that receive them, since they motivate the consumption of a series of personnel, time and material resources, affecting
