A new video of a controversial intervention by the Local Police of Arrecife has gone viral. The images show several agents trying to stop a woman, although from what can be heard there was no intention of arresting her. "Wait", "stand there" and "then you can leave" are some of the phrases that can be heard from the police.
The discussion continues to escalate and three more people try to approach, until one of the agents pushes the woman and ends up reducing her to the ground, while neighbors shout from the windows, reproaching his attitude. "Not like that", "don't hit the girl", "it's an abuse of authority", they question.
The video does not show the beginning of the incident and so far there is no official version from the Police as to why this intervention began, which, according to a neighbor, took place on Cardenal Cisneros Street, in the San Francisco Javier neighborhood.
