The Fiscal and Border Patrol (FAFIF) of the Civil Guard of Puerto del Rosario arrested a 29-year-old person on the morning of August 9, after being caught transporting 60 kilos of hashish in a vehicle, when disembarking from one of the ferries that connect Playa Blanca with Corralejo.
The PAFIF, in the exercise of its specific functions of exercising the fiscal protection function of the State, established on the morning of that day a preventive control of passengers and vehicles at the disembarkation of passengers from one of the shipping companies that operate on the route between Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
In this device, the agents stopped a vehicle that at first glance was observed to be carrying some type of cargo due to its suspension. In addition, according to the Benemérita, during the driver's identification process it was possible to verify how he showed "clear signs of nervousness," a circumstance that motivated the checks on the vehicle's cargo.
