Firefighters put out the fire of a vehicle near the Maneje bridge in Arrecife early this Friday morning, as reported by the Lanzarote Emergency Consortium. In addition, the fire affected another car that was parked and the windows of an adjacent house.
The fire took place at approximately 3.46 am on January 3. After being alerted, agents of the Local Police and firefighters moved to the scene.
Once on the scene, the emergency teams verified that a vehicle was on fire, with a significant fire load, and was affecting another car parked behind it, as well as the windows of nearby homes.
The firefighters began extinguishing work, protecting the windows of the houses and the nearby vehicle until the fire was brought under control. In addition, three houses that were slightly affected by the smoke were checked and it was found that the two exterior plastic blinds of one of the houses had been damaged.
Subsequently, the emergency teams flooded the vehicle with foam to prevent a possible reactivation of the fire and marked it with barricade tape.
