A farmer from San Bartolomé had a good scare this Sunday. While he was doing work with the tractor, it started to burn and the flames affected the house that was nearby. Fortunately, the man was not injured and there was no one inside the building, according to the Emergency Consortium.
The incident occurred at about 11 in the morning when the CECOES was alerted. After the warning, agents of the Local Police and firefighters moved to the site.
Upon arriving at the scene, the Security and Emergency Consortium officers, in coordination with the Local Police, found the tractor completely engulfed in flames. The firefighters quickly proceeded to extinguish the fire using sprayed water, managing to control the situation.
As a preventive measure, the emergency team also cooled the facade of a nearby house and ventilated the adjacent garage to avoid additional damage or the spread of smoke. After securing the area and completing the extinction and prevention tasks, the service was terminated.
