An 80-year-old woman from Lanzarote has died this Friday in Lanzarote, adding the third death of a patient with coronavirus. The woman was admitted to the Molina Orosa Hospital, where this morning there were four people in the Intensive Care Unit and another nine admitted to the ward.
This new death adds to the other two recorded this week. The first was that of a 71-year-old German man residing in the municipality of Yaiza, and the second that of an 80-year-old British man. Unlike these first two cases, the deceased this Friday had no previous pathologies, although she was among the population at risk due to her age.
At the beginning of this Friday, Lanzarote had already accumulated a total of 24 cases of coronavirus, of which 21 remained active (discounting the two deaths and one patient who was discharged). In addition, there were twelve tests that had tested positive in the first analysis and were pending confirmation.
