National Police agents in Arrecife have arrested T.M.S.H., a 24-year-old man, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health, after being identified as the owner of the greenhouse where a marijuana plantation was located. In the property, "where you could smell a strong smell of marijuana", according to the agents, also resided a minor of 5 years and her mother pregnant of 7 months. According to the National Police of Arrecife, both "constantly inhaled the vapors emanating from narcotic substances".
The events were triggered after a complaint in which it was revealed the existence of a possible marijuana plantation on the roof of a house in Arrecife. Then began a police investigation around this house and its inhabitants, which allowed to determine the existence of a greenhouse, inside which numerous marijuana plants were grown.
After obtaining the relevant judicial order, the police officers searched the house, where 20 marijuana plants, buds and leaves with a total weight of 10.5 kilograms, and 7 bags, containing a total of 88 grams of hashish were seized.
In the greenhouse on the roof, transformers, extractors, humidifiers, reflector screens and high-power bulbs used for illegal cultivation were also located and seized. Once the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority.
