The GES helicopter rescuing the injured person

A man has been seriously injured after crashing his hang glider against the Tinasoria mountain, according to the Emergency Coordination Center.

The accident took place at 12.45 pm this Sunday, December 1. After being alerted, agents of the Local Police, the Emergency Consortium, Civil Protection, Civil Guard and an ambulance of the Canary Emergency Service have moved to the site.

The GES helicopter moved to the mountain and its troops rescued the affected person and, after immobilizing him, he was transferred to the parking lot of the IES Yaiza, where the transfer to a SUC medicalized ambulance was carried out.

The health personnel assisted the injured man, who had several traumas, and after stabilizing him, they evacuated him to the Molina Orosa Hospital.

Firefighters, Local Police and Civil Protection have collaborated with the rescue and have secured the helicopter landing site.

For its part, the Civil Guard has opened proceedings.
