A 43-year-old man reports having suffered a homophobic attack by two men and a woman in a premises in the Pueblo Marinero area, in Costa Teguise.
As the alleged victim relates, the events occurred this Monday, October 24, around 01:00 in the morning. At this time, the man explains that he and a friend who was accompanying him decided to sit in said place where they ordered some beers. At one point, one of these drinks fell to the ground.
After that, the complainant says that he finds it difficult to remember how the situation unfolded, but that the two men ran towards him and his companion shouting "faggots": "They approached us and started hitting us. I remember they threw me to the ground and there they beat me, with punches and kicks."
Injuries
The alleged victim did not lose consciousness, so, "my friend was able to lift me up and we had to run away, as the two men began to chase us."
Once they were in a safe place, they called 112 and a couple of Civil Guard officers and an ambulance arrived at the scene, which evacuated the affected person to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
The complainant remarks that at no time did they interact with any of these people: "We didn't know the girl at all or her two friends." He also states that the two alleged aggressors were workers at the premises.
He also affirms that it is a case of homophobia, "because they kept calling us "fucking faggots" while they were hitting us; everything was for being homosexuals".
The same Monday afternoon, the alleged victim filed a complaint at the Costa Teguise Civil Guard barracks, in which he presented a medical report certifying that the alleged attack has caused him an injury to his right eye - which has not resulted in vision loss - bruises on his face, wounds on his right arm and a stiffening of the dorsal muscles.
