A 42-year-old man is in critical condition after suffering a heart attack while playing paddle tennis at a sports center in Pueto Calero, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center.

The incident took place around 6:42 p.m. this Friday. The coordinating doctor of the SUC, present in the operations room, provided teleassistance to the callers so that they could begin to perform resuscitation maneuvers on the affected person, until the arrival of emergency resources, and try to locate a defibrillator in the area. In the place several people who have identified themselves as health personnel have participated in cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers

Subsequently, the health personnel, after verifying that the affected person had been recovered from the arrest, after performing several discharges with a defibrillator located in a nearby hotel, and once stabilized, has been transferred in critical condition in a medicalized ambulance to the Molina Orosa hospital.

Local Police have also traveled to the scene and have collaborated with the rest of the emergency resources.
