The Civil Guard arrested a 22-year-old man this Saturday at the César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport after he lunged at an officer who asked him to "put down his aggressive attitude", after an argument with a billing counter worker "because his mother couldn't travel."

According to the newspaper La Provincia, the event took place around 09:00 on Saturday, and according to sources from the investigation, the man shouted: "By my balls, my mother is going to fly without paying anything."

The airport employee explained to the agents that supposedly the woman, the young man's mother, "did not have all the necessary documentation to be able to travel because she lacked a travel certificate."
