A hiker had to be rescued this Friday due to a fall on the Guardilama mountain, in La Asomada, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.
The events occurred around 12:30 p.m. this afternoon. The woman hit her face but was conscious and somewhat disoriented, so the Consortium's personnel went to the area with two all-terrain vehicles along with the Local Police and an SUC ambulance.
The injured woman was in the middle of the mountain and the firefighters were able to reach her with both vehicles. A doctor who accompanied the hiker informed the personnel that her condition was good and that she did not present any serious injury apart from the blow to the face.
The Emergency Consortium informed the CECOES that they could take the injured woman down in a vehicle, so the helicopter was not necessary. From the mountain, the injured woman was taken down along with the doctor to the ambulance that was waiting at the Yaiza institute.
