A tourist has been arrested early this Monday at the César Manrique Airport after assaulting several agents of the Civil Guard when they were trying to evict her from a plane in which she was causing disturbance.

The passenger was on a British Airways flight to London. At 9:43 p.m. and during the boarding of the flight, the commander requested the presence of the police to evict "some conflictive passengers" who were in a "state of intoxication" and showed "a defiant and aggressive attitude", according to the police report to which La Voz has had access.

Upon arriving at the scene, the agents identified the two conflictive passengers and asked them to leave the plane. One of the travelers refused to leave the aircraft and assured the agents that she had paid for a flight "and that she will not leave the aircraft voluntarily."

Given this refusal, the crew disembarked the first ten rows of the plane, since the conflictive passengers were in the ninth. One of them agreed to leave the ship, "between pushes and protests" to the agents. At that moment, the other passenger, who initially refused to show her passport, allegedly took the opportunity to grab one of them by the arm and bite him on the right forearm.

According to the police report, at that moment a struggle began with the agents, to whom she gave "several bites, scratches, kicks and shoves."

In addition, the passenger remains detained and will be brought to justice this Tuesday.

The Unified Association of Civil Guards (AUGC) union states that it will "defend the interests of the agents."
