A resident of Tinajo, A.A.Z.Z., 61 years old and of Cuban nationality, has died in a traffic accident that took place this Wednesday afternoon on the LZ-56, on the Tinguatón road, in Tinajo. The vehicle she was driving ran off the road and overturned several times.
The terrible event occurred around 5:30 p.m. The Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert informing of this accident and sent two ambulances from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) to the scene. In addition, it has given notice to the Local Police of Tinajo, the Civil Guard and the firefighters of the Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote.

Upon arriving at the area, the emergency agents verified that there was only one vehicle involved in this accident, which was overturned. The firefighters quickly extracted the driver from inside the car, since the SUC personnel had confirmed that she was in cardiorespiratory arrest and had no pulse, so it was necessary to try to revive the woman as soon as possible.
Once out of the vehicle, the paramedics were unable to revive this resident of Tinajo, who died due to the serious injuries she suffered in the accident.
The agents of the Civil Guard have taken charge of the report and the corresponding procedures with the judicial authority. For its part, the Local Police has collaborated with the emergency resources deployed to the area.
