The 22-year-old who assaulted two civil guards at the Lanzarote airport last Saturday has been convicted of three crimes, with a penalty of 12 months fine at a rate of six euros per day for a crime of resistance to authority and a penalty of 40 days fine at a rate of six euros per day for two minor crimes of injuries.

To that is added a compensation of 175 euros for each of the agents, who were defended by the Unified Association of Civil Guards (AUGC), as civil liability. The two agents are on medical leave after the injuries suffered during the struggle.

The Court of Instruction number 3 of Arrecife has made this decision after the man was arrested for pouncing on an agent after having an argument with a worker because his mother could not travel and injuring another, as reported on Sunday by sources of the investigation.

When the guards arrived at the scene, the man, aggressively, shouted that his mother would travel yes or yes. "By my balls that my mother is going to fly without paying anything, that the Civil Guard does not command anything over me, that if my mother does not travel I am going to make a big mess", he shouted.

The agents identified him and asked him to stop his attitude, but his response was to pounce on one of the agents, who needed the help of his partner to reduce him and proceed to his arrest. During the action, the man kicked and punched the agents, causing injuries.
