The 112 attended 218 calls for gender violence from Lanzarote in the first quarter, of which 165 were for "cases of danger", which represents 75.6% of the total.
This is clear from a statistic prepared by the Data Center of the Cabildo with figures from the Canary Islands Institute of Equality, which however reflects a decrease of 16.1% in the number of alerts with respect to last year. And it is that, then there were 260 calls that the Service of Attention to Women Victims of Violence of the 112 received from the island.
Regarding this 2021, it is specified that in addition to 165 emergency interventions (cases of danger), 19 cases of emergencies (priority cases) were attended. As for the remaining 34, it is pointed out that they were for information.
Likewise, it is detailed that of the 218 incidents that were attended in the 112, two were for physical violence with sexual assault, 96 for physical violence without sexual assault, 105 for non-physical violence, nine for consultations, four for coordination and two undefined.
By municipalities, most of the calls came from Arrecife, specifically 122. For its part, the 112 attended 18 calls from Tías, 18 from Haría, another 18 from Yaiza, 14 from San Bartolomé, another 14 from Teguise and three from Tinajo.
Rest of the islands
In the Canary Islands as a whole, the Care Service for Women Victims of Violence of the 112 attended 3,322 calls during the first quarter.
Of these, 1,449 were made from Tenerife, 1,325 from Gran Canaria, 190 from Fuerteventura, 116 from La Palma, 14 from La Gomera and 10 from El Hierro, which are added to the 218 that were made from Lanzarote.
