The Arrecife fairgrounds were the stage for a spectacular display of carnival troupes as part of the Carnival celebrations that produced an explosion of color, music and dance thanks to the participation of the troupes "Sur Caliente", "Timanfeiros", "Guaracheros" and "Cumbacheros".

Expectation for the parade of troupes was at its highest after the limitations of recent years and the fairgrounds were filled with an enthusiastic crowd eager to enjoy a great night of celebration that did not miss a detail.

The beginning of the event served to remember "Los Yaiseros", the fifth troupe of Lanzarote that during this edition has not been able to participate in this exhibition; before giving way to "Sur Caliente", the group founded in 1999 and currently chaired by Pedro Vizcaíno, who has also been the designer of the fantasy - "The union of the kingdom of Egypt" -, with the collaboration of the designer Isidro Castellano, who proudly wore

the members of this group composed of sixty members who danced like possessed the choreographies devised by Yeray Alonso to the rhythm of the batucada directed by Borja Hernández who, in this way, presented the show called "Now yes, we are here", as a reminder of the last two years in which for various circumstances they have not been able to participate in the carnival.

The performance was an impressive spectacle full of rhythm, color and energy in which the dance corps with their feathered costumes and synchronized movements, managed to make the audience vibrate from the first moment.

Next, it was the turn of "Timanfeiros", another of the most anticipated troupes of the night. The group founded in 1996 in the southern town of Uga (Yaiza), managed to keep the energy of the public high. The percussion and voices of its sixty-seven members, chaired by Luis Martín, resonated throughout the fairgrounds, creating a magical and unique atmosphere, to the rhythm of the choreography of Jonathan Gutiérrez and the musical direction of Willy Morales; exhibiting a fantastic design made by the troupe itself and made by Blas Noda, with the fantasy called "Tangaroa".

The third troupe to take the stage was "Guaracheros". The formation of sixty-three members, chaired by Verónica Rueda, presented a show entitled "The Warriors of Odin" that managed to maintain the level of their predecessors in a very emotional performance for them due to the recent death of a relative of three of its members to whom they dedicated their magnificent staging. With their choreographies designed by Diego Rueda and their contagious rhythms to the sound of the batucada directed by Alejandro Tejera, "Guaracheros" wore a fantasy called "Gods of Valhalla", designed by Kilian Betancort.

Finally, the troupe "Cumbacheros" closed the night with a golden touch. With its more festive style, the group founded in 2012 managed to get the public to dance with them thanks to the contagious energy given off by its sixty-four members who appeared on stage freshly landed from Santa Cruz de Tenerife where they participated in the contest "Rhythm and Harmony", being the first troupe from Lanzarote to participate in this prestigious event.

The formation chaired by Sergio Niz, who also holds the role of choreographer, presented a fantasy called "Catch Me", designed by Borja Abreu, and was musically directed by Gesuri García.

The parade of troupes of the Carnival of Arrecife 2023 has been a resounding success as demonstrated by the fact that, throughout the night, the public did not stop cheering and applauding each of the troupes that took the stage. The festive and joyful atmosphere was evident in the public who enjoyed a great stage, where music and dance were the main protagonists.
