Tony Tun Tun, the main attraction of the Haría Carnival

The Puerto Rican singer is known for hits like 'Noche de copas' or 'Mayor que yo'

The Haría Town Council, through the Department of Festivities, announces the poster for the Tony Tun Tun concert, which will be held next Saturday, March 22, in the municipal Plaza, as part of the carnival program. This event is in collaboration with the Cabildo de Lanzarote and the Island's Art, Culture and Tourism Centers.

The mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, highlights the importance of having Tony Tun Tun participate in this edition. "It is an honor to receive an artist of his trajectory. His performance will be a special attraction
for residents and visitors, helping to consolidate the Haría Carnival as a benchmark on the island," he says.

For his part, the Councilor for Festivities, Alberto de León, points out that "the commitment from the Consistory is to offer a quality carnival, with a varied program for all audiences, through shows, contests and parades, among other acts."

 

Haría Carnival Program

The program will begin on Thursday, March 20, at 5:00 p.m., with the traditional Senior Citizens' Carnival at the La Tegala Sociocultural Center. On Friday the 21st, at 10:00 a.m., the Inclusive Island Coso will be held, which will run through the streets of the municipality starting from the IES Haría parking lots to the Plaza.

Then, at 8:00 p.m., the VI Night Meeting of Murgas will take place, with the participation of the Villa Pipol batucada and the murgas Los Simplones, Los Tabletuos and Los Gambusinos. The event will conclude with the performance of DJ Ángel Pérez and the verbena by Armonía Show and Banda Nueva.

On Saturday the 22nd, at 12:00 p.m., the Pasaplaza will be held with the Guaracheros comparsa. At 6:00 p.m., in the cemetery parking lots, the Carnival Coso will begin, inspired by the Star Wars allegory, with the participation of floats, murgas, batucadas and a multitude of masquerades, ending in the Plaza de Haría. Following this, there will be a performance by DJ Juan Hernández, the Tony Tun Tun concert and the closing of the party with Rikabanda.

Finally, on Sunday the 23rd, at 5:00 p.m., the Family Gala will be held with a children's contest, which will feature performances by the Báilame and Lanzarote Baila schools, the presentation of the artist Nerea Rodríguez and a magic show by Mistery.
